holiday cottage within the small hamlet of Rockford. Open all year round for guests to experience
all four seasons of the beautiful Exmoor landscape.
With river frontage, and directly opposite a well respected, traditional Exmoor country pub serving
food most lunchtimes and evenings.
Heron’s Rest also benefits from being located in arguably the most picturesque area of Exmoor
National Park, just inland from The Exmoor Heritage Coast. The Lorna Doone Valley, Watersmeet,
Lynton & Lynmouth and the stunning scenery from the Northern section of the South West Coast Path,
are all within walking distance of the cottage.
Heron’s Rest is a lovely, clean and and well equipped bungalow in a superb
location right on the river. Lovely woodland walks straight from the door and just a short drive
up to the open moorland. The property was super clean on arrival with everything you could want
for a perfect stay along with some lovely little extras. All communication was extremely
straight forward and everything was as described. Thank you!!
